Full Life Care’s ElderFriends Volunteer Companionship Program seeks to create mutually rewarding friendships between elders and volunteer participants. We seek elders who are aged 60 or older, who need companionship and would like to have a friend who visits regularly.
How to Qualify
To participate as an elder in an ElderFriends partnership, you must meet the following criteria:
- Reside in King County.*
- Are 60 years or older.
- Report feeling lonely/isolated and lack regular visitors.
- Have an interest in visiting one-on-one and sharing life experiences.
- Live alone.
- Are not bed-ridden or battling a terminal illness.
- Are not diagnosed with moderate or advanced Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.
*Elders living outside the City of Seattle must be participating in Aging and Disabilities Services Case Management.
