The annual Art Showcase at Solstice Behavioral Health, held June 6, 2019, allowed participants of the Art and Wellness Studios a perfect opportunity to show guests their works and talk about how important attending the studio is to them.

As Showcase guests strolled around the room viewing the artwork, artists talked about their works and the colors they selected.
“My daughter likes Hello Kitty, so I used that in this piece,” Mischa said. “Over here on the fabric piece, I used black and purple. Those colors really speak to me.”
“I really enjoy coming here and doing art and seeing everyone,” Tim said. “I really like the food here too.”
The public was invited to attend this combined art show and fundraiser. Local artists, businesses and community members donated items for the silent auction and raffle prizes. A special thank you to all who attended and gave support! The silent auction and donation jar raised $525 for Solstice Behavioral Health to purchase supplies for Art and Wellness Studio participants to create more works of art.
Videographers from White Noise Production were also in attendance. White Noise creates Full Life Care’s annual video to premiere at the Benefit Luncheon, scheduled this year for October 17.
New this year, guests enjoyed opportunities to create their own art. From the homemade playdoh station to piles of colorful fabric for mixed-art collages. Showcase artists offered artistic guidance and ideas for guests who participated.
