So grateful for ElderFriends

During #NationalVolunteerWeek, April 19-25, we especially thank our ElderFriends volunteers who responded brilliantly in March to shift from in-person visits and outings to supporting isolated elders through phone visits, reassurance calls and letters.

Veteran volunteers are providing extra friendly calls to even more elder friends through our new Friendly Phone Brigade effort.

We look forward to the day when these friends can safely meet in person again. Until then we’ll continue to find creative ways to brighten their spirits and keep the bonds of friendship strong.
