WSU volunteers brighten Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day cards are on their way to brighten the mailboxes of Full Life’s Adult Day Health clients in Snohomish County, thanks to Washington State University (WSU) Everett campus and community volunteers.

Stuff and Stamp Volunteer Dennis Chin

In the spirit of community and compassion, WSU Everett Student Ambassadors invited students, faculty, staff, and alumni to join together to handmake valentine-themed Caring Cougar Cards for last month’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

These cards were supplemented by additional creations from community volunteers, and passed from one set of

helping hands to the next. The most recent receivers, our stuff and stamp volunteers, packaged cards with envelopes, postage, and an additional holiday message from Full Life Care staff.

As stuff and stamp volunteer Dennis Chin expressed, “At first, these just might seem like pieces of paper, but they’re so much more. They’re a good reminder that it doesn’t take much to make someone else smile and feel loved.”
