Your Advocacy Made a Difference!

Good news to report! The Washington State Legislature approved the 2019-21 operating budget, and I’m pleased to report it includes improved funding for Adult Day Health and Home Care programs. Full Life Care worked with our partners at SEIU Healthcare 775 and LeadingAge Washington to advocate for legislative initiatives that increase Medicaid funding rates. Governor Jay Inslee signed the budget in May.

Special thanks to everyone who contacted lawmakers to advocate for this funding increase. The results will go a long way at Full Life Care in our work to serve thousands of clients on Medicaid and to retain the qualified staff who provide them care. Medicaid reimbursement comprises more than 70% of our operating budget and we continue to rely on your advocacy and support.
